Minimize handler related downtimes
Next level of intelligence for the MT9510
The latest software update for the MT9510 (www.multitest.com/MT9510 ) effectively supports OEE improvement activities. The additional functionalities are based on intelligent counting and interpreting of events and failures. Customer sites which implemented the new preventive maintenance procedure report a very positive development of the handler related downtimes.
The “keep-on-running” feature replaces operator actions to just confirm an event at the machine. The intelligent counting will record and evaluate the statistical occurrence and prevent real problems from being ignored. The “preventive maintenance” feature does no longer rely on simply counting the number of tested packages but individually monitors the performance and condition of the single machine parts. It will propose actions and replacements independent of evaluations by the maintenance staff. E.g. a cylinder which is still working can be in a condition which reduces the overall performance of the handler. Here, the operator will get a “wear-out” message for this individual part. The “the defrost monitor” intelligently records the relevant events and operator actions. The defrost cycles therefore are no longer based on simple time spans but on the actual operation of the machine. These new features are part of the new software upgrade which is available without costs for the MT9510 and MT9510XP. In addition a new version of the “preventive maintenance procedure” for the MT9510 has been introduced. It is based on the working experience of the maintenance staff at the customer sites and provides an easy to follow step-by-step description for executing the maintenance jobs automatically proposed by the test handler.
