Showa Denko K.K. (SDK) has established a wholly owned subsidiary Taiwan Showa Denko Electronics Co., Ltd. to strengthen sales of LED chips.

Demand for LED lamps has been growing rapidly around the world, reflecting the progress in commercialization of LED-containing products. And Taiwanese LED lamp manufacturers are expanding their operations thanks to their international price competitiveness. Under the circumstances, demand for SDK's LED chips is growing steadily in Taiwan for incorporation into LED lamps.

With the establishment of the new subsidiary, SDK will strengthen its customer support and meet market needs.
