Wispry president and COO to be featured at MEMS Executive Congress
WiSpry, Inc., the leader in programmable radio frequency (RF) semiconductor products for the wireless industry, announced that Jeffrey Hilbert will be featured on the MEMS Emerging Technology panel at the annual MEMS Executive Congress to be held November 5-7, 2008 in Monterey, Calif. Mr. Hilbert will join other key executives involved with MEMS to look at future technologies that—with the help of MEMS— will impact our lives sooner rather than later. As a recognized leader in RF-MEMS for wireless applications, Mr. Hilbert is uniquely positioned to discuss the key considerations of MEMS integration into consumer devices. The MEMS Executive Congress (www.memscongress.com) is an annual event that brings together business leaders from a broad spectrum of industries: automotive, consumer goods, energy/environmental, industrial, medical and telecom. It is a unique professional forum at which executives from companies designing and manufacturing MEMS technology sit side-by-side with their end-user customers in panel discussions and networking events to exchange ideas and information about the use of MEMS in commercial applications. "The focus of this year’s MEMS Executive Congress is on the convergence of MEMS technology in a growing number of applications and markets," said Karen Lightman, managing director of MEMS Industry Group. "For example, we are seeing dozens of MEMS in a single mobile phone—from MEMS-enabled RF and silicon microphones to camera stabilization, and in the not-too-distant future, MEMS-based miniature projectors. While not possible just a few years ago, this level of convergence demonstrates the successful trajectory of MEMS in consumer electronics." WiSpry will be releasing an initial standard product, the WSC 0805, featuring its Digitally Tunable Capacitor (TDC), technology in Q4 2008. Sources:
